As the art director for Affirm's global benefits website build, my role involved communicating our client's needs to the dev team, reviewing and approving site concepts, and providing feedback throughout the web build. I also created a full suite of custom icons and oversaw the creation of diverse and strategic header images.
One challenge from this project was sourcing hand imagery because hand symbols can carry different meanings across cultures. Each hand image needed to be carefully reviewed to avoid inadvertently conveying offensive messages to any of our global users.
