FPrin is a medical device engineering company located in the Silicon Valley. Founded upon the concept of "First Principles", FPrin is inherently committed to utilizing the fundamental laws of physics in their engineering practice. These "First Principles" are so intrinsically woven into the fabric of FPrin's work ethic and beliefs, that it felt essential to allude to it in their company logo.
The final design incorporated a block on an inclined plane, one of the fundamental laws of physics. This law deals with frictional force, and visually gives the impression of forward momentum—an important quality for any young company.
